People Do Have the Power to Change the World

People really do have the power to change the world.

Power is something like energy deep inside our heart which can help us change the world.

There are three different kinds of power that I want to introduce them to you.

They can influence people a lot step by step.

The first power is giving encouragement.
This is the power that people can do it every day.

All we need to do is give others some compliments more.

If we do that, we not only do a good deed but also cheer others up and strengthen their confidence.

According to the research from a Japanese scientist, he did a research to the water.

He found out that giving compliments and gratitude to the water instead of giving critical complaints to the water, the former’s crystal is prettier than the latter’s.

Also, elementary school students in Japan found out that the result even works in rice.

Isn’t it amazing? The second power is having faith and positive thoughts.

This is the power that we can’t fulfill things without them.

This helps us do meaningful things with confidence.

For example, there is no any law to protect the victim in car accidents.

Fortunately, there comes an old lady whose son just died in a car accident.

She was so upset and she wanted to earn rights for other people who encounter the same problem as she was.

She did it. She got courage and justice then help a lot of people.

She changed the old law system in car accidents.

How nice she is!

She turned her faith into the power to help more people.

It’s touching! The third power is curiosity.

This is the power make us eager to change the world.

Do what you are curious about and interested in to the society.

Never be afraid of failing.

JUST DO IT.

For example, the director Ann-Lee wasn’t famous enough several years ago.

But he finally reached his goal afterward.

Why?

Perseverance, of course.

Even he underwent lots of hardship in his life, he will deserve what he wanted eventually.

Now, he realized his dream and became a well-known director in the world.

What he has are working hard and having curiosity in films.

So much touching examples poured into my heart.

Although I am now a freshman in university, I still can do something to change my little world.

I can at least do a good deed every day.

I can smile to others every day.

I can teach someone something that they don’t know.

I can help elderly or children or disabled people when they cross the road.

I can study hard to do our society good in the future. I can …….

There are lots of things we can do.

We really can change the world just depend on our thoughts and decisions.

If we think we are going to fulfill the dream, we definitely will succeed.

However, if we don’t even believe in ourselves, we definitely will fail.

Do not ever look down on ourselves. We can bring us and others power.

Let’s change our own world, fellows.

How am I going to plan my four-year university life? third writing

In my four-year university life, I plan to enhance my ability of English.

To be good at English, the first thing I must do is to understand

what meaning do the English sentences say.

For example, I can understand the sentences by reciting more vocabularies.

Therefore, I will plan to recite ten vocabularies every day.

The other method to understand the sentences is learning the grammar.

I will take out my grammar book of senior high school to preview three lessons a week.

The second thing I have to do is to read more good articles.

This year, I have subscribed CNN Interactive English magazine.

I will abide by the learning schedule to read and listen.

If I could read these article without difficulties.

I would try to read the novels of which

I have read translation such as Harry Potter and Tuesdays with Morrie.

I can guess the meaning without dictionary, because I know the story.

Writing is also the item that I should make progress.

I will recite vocabulary again and again

until I use these easy and smooth in my writing.

When I see the good and beatiful sentences,

I will write it down and recite the use.

To sum up, my plans of studying English are

reading, learning, and reciting continuously in my four-year university life.

Dentist

Last Saturday, I had appointment with the dentist,

because I have some decayed teeth.

The dentist was busy.

Although I had have made an appointment at 7:30 p.m, I still waited for a while.

Not until 7:50 could I meet the dentist.

The dentist was gentle and interesting.

When he saw me, he said, “what’s wrong.”

“I have decayed teeth,” I answered.

“How do you know you have decayed teeth.” He continued.

This question was so funny that I was distracted five seconds.

Then I answer another interesting sentences,”because my teeth was decayed.”

After that, the dentist started to make up my teeth.

The process was uncomfortable and had pain.

Only in this time did I deeply thought of theimportance of brushing teeth.

Christmas

Christmas of this year was boring, because I got sick.

I had have been sick for days before Christmas day

so that I did not care about planning the Christmas.

On the Christmas day, my sickness was getting serious.

I had a headache raining nose and cough.

The feeling of comfortable seized me.

The only thought in my mind was that I need rest.

I could not concentrate on lecture on that day.

After a string of courses, I finally went back my dormitory.

The first thing I did is went bed.

I went to bed at 7:00.

I just wanted to take a break for one hour,

however, when I got up, I found that it was 12:30.

I sleep away the Christmas. How terrible it was!

Advantages of Living in Dormitory( second editing)

When I enter into college, I chose to live in dormitory. Living in dormitory is one of the wonderful experiences in the university life. Because there are three advantages of experiences I can get from dormitory life: being close to school, improving my friendship, and learning the living of team.

The first advantage is that I will not worry about the traffic problem. Chang Gung University which is called CGU provides one hundred percent of bedroom for all students, so every student has the decision choosing to live in dormitory. Living in dormitory of university can save time and money. Due to being close to school, I do not waste time waiting for public transportation neither the traffic jam. It takes ten minutes to go to my classroom from the dormitory. In the contrast, it is above one hour that I spend going to the school from my home. Once I forgot to bring my textbook or homework, I run back to dormitory to take them without using a lot of time. If I live at home, I could not come back home to take the homework and the textbook, which lead to delay the homework, or be distracted in a lecture without using textbook. I also do not have to spend money on transportation. For instance, it costs NT$ 20 to take MRT from my home to Taipei Train Station. Then I change the transportation and take the bus to Chang-Gung Hospital, which costs NT$ 35. There must be spend NT$ 110 every day. Therefore, being close to school can make me save both time and money and easy to make up for my careless.

A second advantage is that I can quickly get along with my college classmates. Owing to living and eating together, we have more time to be familiar with each other than some people who live at home. Living in the same building, I can easily find helps from my classmates who live in dormitory. For example, I can ask my classmates for teaching me homework. We also can discuss the report. Despite the well development of Internet, I think that face-to-face discussion is more effective than using MSN. The other way to improve my friendship with my classmates is watching movie in dormitory. We usually watch the movie in front of the computer together. The most types of movies we watch are horror movie and comedy. We shriek together and laugh together. It is a wonderful time in dormitory when sharing happiness with my classmates.

A third advantage is that I can learn the living of team from living in dormitory. There are four people sharing the one room. Every one has different life habit. The most important thing I learn to respect others. Because of sharing the space, I have to care others’ feeling. For example, I do not make noises to bother my roommates, so I wear earphones when I listen to the music. Keeping the silent environment in the dormitory is very important. The other thing I learn is to take turns to use bathroom in turn. There is one bathroom in each room, so we line up for using bathroom. I must learn waiting with patience. Living in dormitory, I have to think other people’s feeling.

In short, living in dormitory can make my university-life colorful and fruitful. I make good friends to play and study with. I can spend my time on other meaningful things. I also learn how to get along with others in one space. I believe that it is a good opportunity to expand my view of life and a process to make my mentality more mature.

Taroko Gorge

There is a gorge in Taroko Gorge that is the most beautiful scene in Taiwan. At Taroko Gorge, there are hot springs, caves, and waterfalls. For example, when I see water falling straight down into a long river in front of me, that is really spectacular! Also, what impresses me most are the springs from the caves. They are clean, pure, like seasonable rain falling everywhere. Although Taroko is extremely beautiful, I was told to avoid going to the area when the weather is bad, in case of getting slipped or landslide. Anyway, in addition to natural spots, there are other attractions to notice, such as aboriginal villages, temples, special local product etc. Of course, we can release our pressure there, and I can enrich my spirit.

How to Impress a Boy/Girl on a First Day(my senior high school HW)

It’s a romantic and exciting moment that boys and girls or ladies and gentlemen meet each others on a first date. Here are some suggestions for you to impress a boy/girl. First, you might need to take a shower or take a bath to make yourself relaxed. Next, make sure your hair, face and teeth are clean and especially make your dressing appropriate to let people get along with you easily. Then, when you two meet face to face, remember to smile nicely. Finally, no matter what atmosphere you two make and have, be careful to chat something you two are interested in and you share in common. After that, I think it’s simple for you to make a good impression on a first date when meeting a boy/girl.

The Person I Admire Most

The person I admire most is Diana. Diana was always a beautiful, happy, young mother in photos. But, was she really happy?
Diana was born on July 1, 1961, at Sandringham in England. Her family was really rich and was made up of a mother, a father, two older sisters and one younger brother. When she was eight, her parents divorced. Her father married a new wife in 1975 and Diana was unhappy with that. Then, she moved to Althrop with her father and stepmother.
She wasn’t good at school work, but she likes young children, playing games, swimming, running and dancing. So when she was sixteen, she worked in schools for very young children in London. After that, she met Charles, and then she decided to married him in London on July 29, 1981. At first, they were happy with their life and got two sons. But, Diana finally found out Charles always talked to his old girlfriend, Camilla, all the time. Diana became unhappy and ill. So, she decided not to live with Charles in 1992 and she divorced him in 1996. Although their marriage was broken, they both loved their children. And Diana spent lots of time with children. She spent lots of time helping the poor with her love, too. Because of her kindness, everyone loved her. Everyone called her People’s Queen, because she had the ability to make everybody feel special, including the vulnerable young people who were touched by her warmth and affection. Also, she was the head of many charities.
Unfortunately, Diana, Princess of Wales, died after a car crash in Paris on August 31, 1997. Hundreds of mourners have gathered at the princess’ London home, Kensington Palace and many have laid flowers at the gates. Isn’t she a big hero? I love her, forever and ever!

The interesting county I ever been to

I have been to various countries. The most interesting country which I have ever been to is Malaysia. With the moderate location, the climate is always warm in Malaysia. Due to some immigrant from different countries, the food is diverse and exotic. The food which I love is curry there; even though, I have eaten so many times in Taiwan. Moreover, water activities are also populous there. Some activities like water scooters, wind sails, banana boats and parasail are all prevalent in Malaysia. The most attractive is the elephant show. Trained by professional trainers, elephants which acted as human being could play soccer, count figures and give audience a massage. Traveling to Malaysia, you won’t worry about there is no place to have fun. Because there is a lot of fascinating things that you can discover.

How am I going to plan my four-year university life? second write

My senior hirh school teachersaid, ” you should study hard in senior high school, then you will play as possible as you can. “, but I don’t think so. It has been two weeks since I have become a freshman. There is a thought in my mind: I am going to study hard.
In the first year, I will make progress in English, because the textbook in college are written in English. I will recite ten words every day. In my free time, I will try to read some English articles. In the second year, I will continue to recite words every day. If I can read English articles. I will try to read the novelettes. Next year, in order to improve my listening, I will listen to the English broadcasts. When I read the novels, I will try to understand sentences without dictionary. In the last year in CGU university, I will start to write in English. If I can, I will make friends with foreigners to advance my speaking. The above mentioned are how I am going to plan my four-year university life. Because I deeply believe that English is a key to know a lot of knowledge. The first and important plan in university life is studying.

Unforgettable Day

This year, I had a surprising birthday.
Last weekend was my birthday. Unfortunately, I had to prepare for physical midterm and military training report. So I deleted the appointment with my bestfriend whose birthday is earlierone day than mine. How upset was I!
Next day, I returned to my college dormitory from my home. Because of studying, the time I arrived the dormitory was later than usual. When I thought that my nineteenth birthday would end with dull and the following hours would filled with studying, the surprise pop out.
My college classmates turned off the light. A cake with burning candles appeared in my eyes. At the moment, I realized that they were celebrating for my birthday. I was so touched that I couldn’t say any words. How sweet they were! Although we were acquainted with each other only one and few days, we had become bosom friends.
What a unforgettable birthday in my life. Thank you, seven angels. You took a risk to get fat with me─ high colories food: cake. I love you~chu.

Freewriting

Yesterday, we had physics exam. For preparing exam, I stayed up at midnight. I was study. Although I really tried and wanted to go sleep earlier, I surfed the Internet until midnight. So now I am so tried. But the great things is that I finally can go out to have dinner instead of dinning just in the school restaurant. The restaurant for me is really bored, and we also go to outside instead if we have free time. I have find several delicious food stores beside the hospital. The fried chicken is one of my favorite. By the way, on last Sunday afternoon, we want to there to have a great meal. We ate the delicious food happily and chatted with each other after the meal. Yesterday is my day.

Wait Wait Wait

When I got up, the unlucky things happened in the beginning of day.
We had to take the course "introduction to education" at 8:10 am, My roommate and I got out our room to go to the classroom. When we stood in front of the elevator and waited the elevator, we found that people living on six or five floor took the elevator and overcrowded it in advance while the elevator was up. This situation caused us couldn't go inside the elevator. Thus, there were crowded with people on seven floor just like the interior of the elevator we saw.Because the other elevator under repair. The only thing we could do was wait.
Due to waiting for almost fifteen minutes, none of us had patient. It seemed like fifteen years to us Someone couldn't help but tell the people who live on six floor saved a half space for us, but they still filled in the elevator. At last, we had the elevator to take. As soon as the elevator up through the six floor, we saw that there was nobody in front of the six floor. Why didn't they show sympathy for the other people with waiting for a long time?
